Playing With AI Bots
How AI fill-in bots work, and how to use them for practice or quick games.

PlayWerewolf uses a deterministic, probability-driven AI engine to fill empty seats. Whether you are practicing alone or rounding out a partial lobby, the bots play full games from start to finish.
How Bots Join
When creating a room, you can enable AI fill-in. Any empty seat at game start will be taken by a bot. You can also play entirely against bots to learn the flow.
What Bots Can Do
Bots understand:
- Their own role and win condition
- Night actions for Werewolf, Seer, Witch, and Hunter
- Public vote logic based on claims and probabilities
- Basic bluffing and accusation patterns
They are not perfect players, but they provide a solid challenge for beginners and a reliable way to test strategies.
Best Uses for Bot Games
- Learn the interface without pressure.
- Practice a specific role repeatedly.
- Test strategies against predictable opponents.
- Play a quick round when friends are not online.
Tips for Bot Games
- AI bots respond to claims. Claiming Seer early can draw wolf attacks.
- The Witch bot tends to save high-value targets. Use that to predict night outcomes.
- Bots vote based on public information, so controlling the narrative is key.
Once you are comfortable, jump into a live room and test your skills against real humans.
